Job Description:
- Responsible for learning Walgreens operations and ways of working to drive "one-box" (complete store front end and pharmacy operations).
- Responsible for completing the accelerated development path up to Store Manager during the specified time frame as outlined in the learning plan.
- Under the direction of the store manager, oversees the operation (front end and pharmacy) of a Walgreen store.
- Support store operations by following or assisting the store manager in guiding the store through the learning journey. Personal training and development
- Complete a rigorous, accelerated program that includes all certifications required for the Store Manager role.
- Participate in and complete classroom learning, online training, and on-the-job training. Fulfill your assigned rotations and learning goals by spending time at other stores in your assigned area.
- Follow the individual development plans offered by the District Manager.
- Engages in one-on-one conversations with the Store Manager and District Manager for continued professional growth and demonstrates continued business readiness and mastery of learning topics with the Director of Pharmacy and Retail Operations.
You seek personal development by monitoring your performance, setting high personal standards, learning about the retail, pharmacy and management industries, seeking best practice. Learn and actively implement front-end and pharmacy compliance standard operating procedures (SOPs). Gain knowledge of all computer and technology systems and software. Obtains Pharmacy Technician registration/license as required by state law (and pursues PTCB certification, as required by state).
Customer experience
Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer complaints in a timely manner and responds to queries to ensure a positive customer experience. Model and share customer service best practices. Oversees customer service, provides guidance, training and develops plans for improvements at both front end and pharmacy. Enable team members to find the most effective solution for customers; look for solutions that exceed customer expectations and build loyalty. Support Store Manager in observing customer service trends, analyzing customer feedback, building corporate awareness and improving service metrics.
