 The Starbucks experience begins in our manufacturing facilities, where we have a dedicated team of professionals covering planning, inventory management, packaging, roasting, soluble process, maintenance, engineering and logistics.

 This position contributes to the success of Starbucks  by focusing on process optimization. The focus is on tasks and projects that develop technology and innovate the productivity and capacity of the instant coffee production process.

 As a Senior Process Engineer you will:

•  Appreciates the benefits of new design technology and improved methods in manufacturing operations. Integrates design principles and resolves technical barriers to specific process problems.
• Use logic in problem solving and alternative analysis  to evaluate the financial and operational impact of business initiatives.
• Evaluate critical information to make effective decisions or recommendations. 
• Develop and implement technical plans for specific technical functions to improve efficiency, increase capacity and reduce costs.
• Build operational (operations, maintenance and design) consensus  on complex projects and initiatives. 
• Perform general plant process design work.
•   Promote the development of strong working relationships.
• Collaborate on maintenance, operations, quality and design.
• Develop and implement improved processes to measure, analyze and improve equipment performance and prioritize plant performance improvement projects. 
• Collaborate  and guide maintenance and operations partners to optimize process control systems and continuously incorporate new information developed to improve performance.
• Use the Data Historian frequently to identify trends in process health and stability.

We want to hear from people who have:

•  Chemical Engineering (3 years)
•  Design and implementation in a specific field (5 years)
•  Development of performance metrics  and root cause analysis (5 years)
•  Strategic planning
•  Company and factory experience in the consumer goods or food industry, either technical or manufacturing
