As a Senior Data Analytics Manager, you will be responsible for supporting our efforts to help Target make better data-driven decisions about equipment through analytics and insights. In this role, you will act as an advocate for our data-driven culture, leading a team of analysts directly contributing to the conduct of analysis and providing strategic recommendations. You will achieve this through a wide variety of skills, demonstrating them yourself and ensuring quality across your team. Skills include: data litigation, dashboards, visualization, statistical analysis, modeling and presentation of recommendations and information. You will be working within and leading others in an agile environment, which requires active participation in ceremonies to achieve team goals. You will also develop domain knowledge as you learn about the business area.

About you:

  • 8-12 years of general industry experience with 6-8 years in the data ecosystem
  • Build a high-performing team through talent pipeline planning, recruiting, setting clear expectations, and managing performance. Lead a team of data analysts who provide strategic project insights and development guidance, helping to shape future leaders at Target
  • Drive innovation to develop practical solutions to long-standing problems.
  • Ability to work independently and coach others to turn business problems into data solutions
  • You have strong problem solving, analytical and communication skills and an ability to handle ambiguity.
  • Experience working with product teams and business leaders to develop product roadmaps and feature development.
  • Ability to lead change, set direction and work through conflict and setbacks.
  • Demonstrate understanding of the capabilities available in data and analytical tools.
  • (for example, Hadoop, Postgres or equivalent) and a thorough understanding of DW/BI basics
  • Thorough knowledge of SQL or PL/SQL, Python programming and Unix shell scripting
  • Understanding of analytical techniques such as linear regression, logistic regression, time series models, classification techniques, etc. Proven ability to collaborate, communicate effectively with partner teams and influence others. Experience working in an agile environment (stories, backlog refinement, sprints, etc.)
  • Any experience with Retail, Merchandising, Marketing will be a strong complement
  • B.Tech / B.E. or MSc in Statistics/Econometrics/Mathematics/Equivalent Management
