The Castlegate Forwarding team are building our core operating system (NaviOS) to power our growing freight forwarding business. NaviOS is the platform of the future that will serve as the single source of truth to digitally track the real world. You will be instrumental in the success of this very high profile project.
What will you do:
- Lead and manage an atomic team of engineers focused on building the services, integrations and tools that drive Castlegate Forwarding Business and its partner interactions.
- Master the result of the team both from a technical and performance point of view. Mentor and coach team engineers through training, code reviews, design sessions and 1:1 mentoring providing professional and career development for your staff.
- I have worked not only within your group but also at Castlegate Forwarding and Wayfair Eng in general. to build and leverage standard APIs.
- Responsible for the systems built by his team, including engineering design, development, testing, monitoring and implementation.
- Engage your team to build the technical roadmap and drive planning, delivery and continuous improvement. Work with Product to define roadmaps and ensure the team has a compelling mission with well-defined KPIs to measure progress and success.
Raising the bar from a technical and process point of view. Who are you:
- 5+ years of software development experience with strong familiarity in at least one programming language (PHP, Python, .NET, JavaScript, Java, etc.) and relational databases (SQL Server, Postgres, MySQL, etc.). Experience with GCP or AWS is a plus. More than 3 years of experience managing a high performance engineering team.
- Ability to think creatively and find opportunities for improvement in processes, code and architecture
- Team Player with a collaborative approach to problem solving
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with design and product counterparts.
