Amazon internships are full-time positions and interns should expect to work Monday through Friday, up to 40 hours per week, usually between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Your manager will communicate specific team standards regarding working hours. Interns should not have conflicts such as teaching or other duties during the Amazon work day.
Applicants must have at least one trimester/semester/quarter remaining in their studies after the end of their employment. Applicants for all SDE positions, including the Amazon Propel Program (APP) will be considered through this application. We will consider your course schedule and position preferences based on company availability. Please note that most of our courses take place during the summer.
The start date of our internship includes the following periods:

The Amazon Propel Internship Program aims to support candidates from historically underrepresented groups in the technology industry by providing development opportunities based on skills and experience.
Key responsibilities for SDE and APP internships include:
• Work with Amazon's experienced multidisciplinary team to design, engineer and market new products and services. • Design and develop new technologies in the distributed computing environment and help make important changes in the industry.
• Develop solutions to make predictions in distributed systems and exposure to new technologies at an incredible scale and speed. • Develop security, subscription, and query systems that are distributed, fault-tolerant, inexpensive, and easy to administer/manage.
• Ability to design and code accurate solutions starting with well-defined problems. • Works in an agile environment to deliver high quality software.
