Full Job Description:

This position will report to the Director of Content Distribution and will be responsible for technical content security reviews of distribution agreements for EMEA. This service provides an important service for businesses in creating and protecting their revenue streams. This person will work with their team to negotiate distribution agreements in the EMEA region through content protection technologies, especially as it relates to the protection of end device content and future platforms. They will work with colleagues who operate the global platform to maintain a consistent process and research. The individual will need to have a strong understanding of content protection technologies and be able to lead the team on complex technical issues related to solutions, including encryption, production protection, and breach prevention.

This is a 6 month full time (salary) FTC based 4 days a week in our Hammersmith office with one day working from home starting March 1st.

Employee Responsibilities:

  • Analysis of leading distribution solutions including video streaming solutions, broadcast systems, IPTV middleware platforms, physical media.
  • Review the content protection provisions and agreements for content acquired by Disney for its channels. Overview of content protection solutions and architectures including watermarking, fingerprinting, location access, DRM and privacy features.
  • Monitoring of new consumer devices, including set-top boxes, mobile phones, and multimedia systems. Overview of chipset components including CPUs, GPUs, hybrid architectures, mobile chipsets.
  • Responsible for timely completion of CSS for license start dates to be met, including resolving compliance issues to ensure content security does not delay contract. Lead the first technical question survey and follow the platform for more questions.
  • Review and comment on content security program feedback received from customers and Disney's legal team. Working with the main market to ensure that we can make the business. Contacting before negotiating with the business to ensure we understand their terms. Collaborate with Content Security Team, Platform Services.
  • Build relationships with leading DRM, CAS and geofiltering vendors. Lead the discussion on protecting UHD content.
  • Review all security issues and develop resolution plans with customers and internal teams. Required Experience:
  • A complete and significant TV server/production/technology requirement
  • Strong business, technical and consumer understanding of digital media
  • In-depth knowledge of TV broadcast technology including DTH, Cable, IPTV, DTT and OTT distribution
  • In-depth knowledge of devices that can receive or stream video
  • Good understanding of encryption systems, including enterprise location access and digital asset management systems
  • Excellent understanding of streaming technology
  • Knowledge of distribution business models such as linear, VOD, EHVL
  • Strong understanding of the legal and documentation of distribution agreements
  • Knowledge of databases and structured data
