Product Marketing Management is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to support customer research through advanced, scalable and robust data processing, tools, data products and pipelines, especially for rapid business intelligence, data analysis and data science. The right to head

  • Expertise in Spark or Python
  • Experience with MPP databases preferred
  • 6+ years of experience in data engineering and ETL pipeline development.
  • 3+ years of Spark development. 6+ years of experience in Big Data technologies (Hadoop, MapReduce, Hive etc…).
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker preferred. The Snowflake Experience.

Explanation

• Create and implement advanced platforms that can be scaled (batch and / or continuous) to increase research.

• Ability to design large complex applications and systems with excellent runtime characteristics such as low latency, fault tolerance and availability.

• Experience building and maintaining custom systems to meet engineering / research needs

• Knowledge of continuous integration, research methodology, TDD and agile development methodologies. • Collaborate with research clients and data scientists to create and improve new / existing builds and solve data and statistical engineering problems.

• Good knowledge of data systems (Parquet, ORC etc.) and consent management systems

• Exposure to structured or unstructured storage and distribution. • Submit data quality audits including to ensure high data quality.

• Experienced engineer or developer or open source technology supporter is a plus. • Communicates advanced software engineering practices for building large data infrastructure and pipelines.

• Organized thinking that can break down ambiguous problems and propose effective solutions. • Strong communication and technical skills.
