Key Responsibilities:
The Senior Architect - Cloud Cybersecurity supports efforts to mature cloud security capabilities for United Airlines. You will be part of an interdisciplinary IT team responsible for full-stack security architecture. In this role, the Architect will work on the creation and maintenance of security relevant documentation and collaborate with the Product, Platform, Engineering and Operations teams to ensure the adoption of standard security methodologies throughout the lifecycle of the application or system security. The role will help to continuously improve our IT controls and associated playbooks, workflows, processes and procedures.
- Develop and promote security and resiliency architecture strategies, frameworks, and patterns by collaborating closely with other cybersecurity teams and collaborating with partner organization.
- Actively collaborates with partners to understand business requirements and develop supporting security and resiliency principles to ensure adoption of industry and corporate standard methodologies.
- Demonstrates expert technology proficiency in two or more domains, such as security, resiliency, infrastructure, platform, product, endpoint, application, identity management and data security, and zero trust
- Analyze the technical risks of existing network/system and application architectures (IAAS/PAAS/SAAS and on-premise) against the corresponding policies and risks and provide appropriate risk mitigation or remediation plans.
- Help define and implement security standards/frameworks
- Train and lead development and engineering teams to integrate CI/CD pipeline tools, test plans, and vulnerability assessment tools for the cloud
- Serve as a secure infrastructure-as-code champion for end-to-end configuration and overall success of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS environments
- Threat modeling, end-to-end security assessment, design and development of cloud security policies, standards and procedures for various types of public/private/hybrid clouds
