Key Responsibilities:

The Principal Architect – Application Cybersecurity validates that our services, applications and websites are designed and implemented in accordance with United's secure development standards. The Lead Architect is a senior-level position who works closely with development teams, product teams, and other teams within the organization to integrate security into the product lifecycle, from design through implementation. The Principal Architect is a recognized authority in defining security requirements, conducting application security assessments, and providing guidance and advice to developers. On any given day, the Principal Application Security Architect may be hired to evaluate a new system, review a proposed application change, or provide guidance on application security/coding best practices.

  • Sought after as a trusted advisor/advisor and help in creating safety blueprints, requirements, risk monitoring and mitigation guidance in line with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive architecture design assessments and threat modeling of our products (cloud and on-premises)
  • Recommend and implement products/services that support operational needs and security requirements.
  • Help drive the design, definition and implementation of security best practices and standards and ensure they are understood by product development teams.
  • Drives and contributes to the continuous improvement of our security strategy and supports risk prioritization
  • Help train and support team members.
  • It leads to improved security accessibility through automation, continuous integration pipeline, and other means
  • Perform application code analysis, manually and using SAST, DAST and SCA scanning solutions, as well as perform manual vulnerability analysis.
  • Technical point of contact for product teams on automation, CI/CD, and fix help
