Our staff perform important tasks "on the wing" at the airport, including completing aircraft weight and balance details, providing a smooth and hospitable check-in experience for customers and operators and other employees who work to facilitate the departure of the aircraft. They work behind the scenes preparing flights for departure while serving Southwest's domestic and international customers on a daily basis. The employees are good communicators who like to work as one in a strong and safe environment. Other details:
Team-based work that includes shifts assigned based on seniority. Shifts may include early mornings, late evenings, weekends and holidays. No US or current authorization to work in the United States is required and no current or future work authorization is available.

Work
- Provides friendly service and maintains good relationships with all internal and external customers
- Working in a collaborative spirit to ensure the success of our business
- He is responsible for providing legendary customer service to flight attendants by coordinating ramps, operations, supply and flight scheduling to ensure on-time departures and quick turnarounds as well as making time for delayed flights.
- It operates in the airport, accommodation, aviation and aerospace industries. Can be exposed to various weather conditions as well as noise and fumes from aircraft and machinery. Open and close ports, providing advice to Dispatch
- Manages AMS traffic and radio communications as required
- Coordinates loading and unloading of aircraft by monitoring ramp activities
Answering station operations calls
- Notifies the gate staff of the start of the check-in
- Prepares travel release forms and collects weather reports from OTIS for crew
- Schedule refueling as needed
- Supports different weights and sizes. Notify Dispatch, FLIFO and airport of departure/arrival
- Airplane closed; files and maintains accurate flight documents. Make sure the plane is properly washed and serviced before take off
- Coordinates special services required on board such as bathroom maintenance, cabins, customer wheelchairs, and special emergency cleaning.
- Operates bridges, arranges check-in and check-out
- Work with gate operators to expedite the check-in process, collect check-in passes and/or electronic check-in data, and check check-in rates.
- Check the bag, if necessary. Catwalk ladders are often used to carry items from the catwalk to the top
- Composes and submits error reports as required. Checks the load on hand to ensure it is properly recorded and calculated. Monitors and sends all board messages and company messages to the specified port
- Receive, send or make page calls and make page announcements, as appropriate. Keeps other airport staff informed of aircraft movements, weather conditions and regular operations
- Prepares logbook to record travel document information. Operates flight information display devices and updates systems when required
- Prepare and dress appropriately according to company standards and present a neat and professional appearance while at work
- Provides friendly service to all colleagues and customers. Performs special duties or responsibilities assigned by supervisor or station staff

Knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Ability to work effectively with others as part of a team, meet the public and work under pressure
- Must be eligible for GSC
- Must follow DOT drug and alcohol testing procedures
- Ability to read, follow instructions, learn and understand land operations procedures, rules and regulations
- Ability to type and/or use a computer keyboard at sufficient speed to meet job requirements
- Must successfully complete an on-the-job training program with an average of 90% or higher and a probationary/probation period.
- Must be aware of dangerous situations and be able to handle emergencies as needed
