This position performs research and other duties necessary to plan, implement and maintain the infrastructure of Costco's transportation network. This will involve working with engineers to develop design plans and detailed solutions

WORK

• Work on the development of technologies and network environments, including SDN, Cloud and traditional data center networks. Collects and evaluates employee and job requirements; design solutions to meet these needs in collaboration with network analysts, engineers, and technical and non-technical teams.
• Escalation from our system administrators team for network infrastructure troubleshooting. Monitors network capacity and availability to meet networking needs while maintaining a secure environment.
• Work with engineers to explore new network solutions to solve problems or gaps. Document and map network solutions, configuration and troubleshooting/maintenance systems.
• Participate in 24X7 on call. Part-time outside work requires overtime, including weekends and holidays.
• Occasional travel to our data center may be required. Design, implementation and maintenance of enterprise network platforms.
• Willingness and willingness to innovate in network layer automation
• Works with engineering and leads network efforts in various projects.

Wanted

• 5+ years of networking experience serving businesses and large businesses.
• 5+ years of experience in networking technologies (Cisco, Fortinet, Arista, Aruba, CheckPoint). 3+ years of knowledge of routing technologies (BGP, OSPF, RIP).
• 2+ years experience in VOIP technology. 2+ years of network support for server operating systems (Windows, Linux).
• 2+ years of troubleshooting experience with Wireshark or other industry standard network analysis tools. Strong diagnostic skills to isolate network errors.
• Good understanding of the OSI model, and the IPv4 protocol suite.
