Job Description:

The Starbucks experience begins in our bakery where we have a dedicated team of professionals and support system teams including planning, warehouse management, packaging, baking, maintenance, engineering and logistics.

As a production manager, you:

Oversees green coffee operations and logistics, production planning, inventory management, and resource planning and operations. Assists with other manufacturing operations including unloading, roasting and packing of green beans.

Follow standards and procedures such as Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure product quality. Create and maintain a cohesive, healthy and clean work environment.

Ensure effective and timely corporate, plant and departmental communication with managers, peers and team members, including supervisors, managers and partners. Ensure the development and satisfaction of partners. Provide timely performance feedback to partners. Serves as a technical expert and coach for the team. Supports partners in presenting ideas to improve efficiency and productivity. Monitor production output, volume changes, and utilization to ensure successful manufacturing operations. Ensure that partners work according to the production process to ensure product reliability. Ensure adequate staffing to meet new business needs and changing volumes. Reduce waste to control costs. Follow established budgets, forecasts, cost targets and activity levels to control expenses. Supports the implementation of cost, quality and service improvement initiatives. Supports all plant and design goals and objectives. Report to the manager about the team's progress and any obstacles. Be responsible for the management and/or implementation of food safety, regulatory and quality programs.

  • Maintenance (1 year)

  • Knowledge of global food safety laws and regulations, including preventive controls for human food (21 CFR 117) and the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI).
