Your local Walmart Supercenter in Dickson, TN is hiring an Optician! Applicants must be licensed in accordance with state requirements. **

What are you going to do at Walmart

• Process customer orders and purchases, including visual verification and interpretation of prescriptions; provide advice on style, color and shape
• Demonstrate knowledge of age-restricted merchandise and verify customer identification
• Demonstrate knowledge and value of department merchandise such as frames, eyeglasses, contact lenses, sunglasses and related accessories
• Solve customers' concerns about straightening and handling glasses.
• Accurately complete all customer insurance forms necessary for timely submission of payment
• Maintain proper inventory levels, stock merchandise, and set up product displays
• Place orders for merchandise, verify it fits your prescription, and ensure all upgrades and special requests are processed
• Perform technical functions necessary to complete the patient's internal eyewear order, such as applying tint, UV, and various lens edge finishes, and fitting lenses where applicable.
• Perform pre-optometric testing and eye exams where permitted by state law

• Ability to fit glasses to patients and make minor adjustments
• Knowledge of the functions, features and pricing of Vision Center products, including various upgrades, features and benefits of each.
