Key requirements

• You should be comfortable working with both metric and standard measurements.
• Ability to handle over 30 lbs. of large and oddly shaped materials during the workday
• Strong experience in materials management environments with the ability to demonstrate both administrative and practical experience.
• Contribute to and manage budget performance by tracking and understanding expenses, analyzing variances, and implementing corrective actions.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment with many changing deadlines and requirements
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are key
• Ability to meet or exceed team performance goals; Inventory levels, lead times, quality, audit compliance and customer service
• Ability to handle and move large or foreign shapes of material to and from the cutting area (mechanical or personnel assistance available as needed for safety)

Description

This position is a key driver of production efficiency and must possess the drive, initiative and ability to work independently with attention to detail and exceptional customer service. This position must reliably handle all aspects of inventory management. This includes administrative tasks, such as purchasing, inventory management, and checking, as well as physical handling tasks, such as cutting, prepping, and delivering stock for use throughout the store. The Inventory Planner will work across functional boundaries with administrative experience. They must have the ability to prioritize and execute plant shutdown orders and inventory order management. Goals for this role include accelerating efficiency through waste reduction and strong process ownership whilst maintaining respect and trust with internal and external customers. Managing manufacturing materials and using industrial equipment to measure, cut, and prepare materials is a key responsibility.
