Fleet Service employees handle the handling of items in and out of planes, cars, containers, and trucks; transportation of objects between terminals and aircraft; receive, deliver, weigh and document cargo at a specific loading facility (warehouse) or loading area. The terms and conditions of this position are covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement of the Transport Workers Union (TWU).

what are you going to do?

  • These are the essential functions of the job.
  • Move luggage and cargo of various weights to and from the plane
  •  Drive and operate tape loaders
  •  Service aircraft at the gates with ground connection and air conditioning
  •  Tow and push the planes out of the gates
  •  Aircraft toilets and water ports
  •  Clean the interior of the aircraft when necessary
  •  Place beverage and luggage carts around the ramp area.
  •  Works outdoors in various weather conditions.

Everything you need for success

  • High school diploma or GED or international equivalent
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Lifting, loading, unloading and transporting sacks and goods from/to aircraft, bag trolleys and conveyor belts
  • Must have knowledge and ability to use basic computer skills.
  • Oriented and highly motivated people, with a positive and collaborative attitude.
  • good communication skills
  • Valid driving license applicable as required by local authorities
  • Must be able to obtain security badges from the appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs, if applicable
  • Completion of a pre-employment drug screening, comprehensive background check, and/or fingerprinting to meet security and business requirements
  • Possibility of obtaining the certification of the reaction bridge
  • Must have the ability to pass the United States Postal Service background check.
