This job is a member of the Reliability Engineering team within the Technical Operations Division. This equipment helps detect and troubleshoot operational problems in transport category aircraft. This position will be responsible for technical support on various aircraft systems and related reliability improvement through project management. what are you going to do

Engineer L2

  • Keeps informed of the daily operations of the airline involving the field of responsibility.
  • Assess day-to-day priorities against airline/departmental goals and management directives
  • Investigate aircraft/component problems that may cause aircraft delays or cancellations, substantial labor or material costs, or disruption to maintenance operations, and determine appropriate corrective actions.
  • Provides technical support necessary for disposition of discrepant conditions affecting aircraft or components to restore functionality.
  • Responds to requests from maintenance and other airline departments when technical assistance is needed to support projects or resolve problems.
  • Develop roadmaps for fleet/multi-fleet and/or component engineering projects and seek final dispositions in accordance with assessed priorities
  • Coordinates with other airline departments as needed to provide effective and efficient implementation of engineering arrangements.
  • Prepare engineering documents to implement technical arrangements by providing customized procedures for repairs, modifications, inspections or other maintenance actions that offer benefits in accordance with airline/departmental objectives and management directives.
  • Maintains awareness of current and pending regulations affecting areas of responsibility and ensures all engineering actions maintain compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Use available resources to continually raise levels of technical proficiency and hands-on experience.
  • May work irregular hours and shift schedules; can travel

  • Coordinates with manufacturers and regulatory authorities as needed and ensures engineering arrangements are adequately substantiated in accordance with applicable regulations and company handbooks.
  • Develop custom procedures and special policies for repairs, modifications, inspections, services and other maintenance actions that are not adequately covered in existing manuals.
  • Strive to improve communication skills, time management and other relevant personal qualities for maximum effectiveness and efficiency in performing assigned duties.
