You will empathically help customers resolve a variety of post-order issues including: shipping queries, damages, returns, exchanges, assembly services, and order notifications. No dashes. There are no ready-made answers. These are true person-to-person interactions where you can make a significant impact. What does a service worker do?:

  • Demonstrate Reliability: Attendance and a commitment to be there for the full shift every day is key. This helps ensure that we are ready and willing to help our customers when they need us most.
  • For unforeseen events or problems, we require our associates to be proactive in communication and planning where possible.
  • Handles a high volume of contacts - will handle around 50-60 phone calls per shift. This is a fast paced and highly structured environment. There is little downtime at this position, as you typically get back to back calls during your shift.
  • Meet our high performance bar - You will work to exceed customer satisfaction, excel in meeting customer service efficiency metrics and other responsibilities assigned to you.
  • Attract customers: You will need passion for people. You will be the voice of Wayfair and work to build a relationship with customers who reach out to us via inbound phone calls, chat and email.
  • Topics can range from returns, exchanges, deliveries, product availability, order status, and more.
  • Actively listen and show empathy: You will actively listen to understand relevant customer information to find the best way to quickly and completely resolve their issue. Reduce customer worries: Most customers contact us because they've had a problem and need your help.
  • You will use your conflict management skills to balance client needs with company options, while maintaining a professional composure at all times. Troubleshooting: Solutions aren't a one-size-fits-all approach, so customer service associates don't read the preloaded scripts. You will be given a level of autonomy to help customers find the right fit. You will need to think analytically to resolve customer issues in a first contact resolution approach.
  • Multitasking: You'll need to juggle multiple browsers, tabs, tools, and screens to answer questions quickly and effectively. The ideal customer service representative will be familiar with computers and be able to effectively navigate technology every day.
  • Scale Systemic Problems: Help us continuously improve. You will identify areas where improvement is needed and share those trends with leadership.

What are the salaries and benefits?

  • Hourly rate: $16.00 (term increases after 6 months)
  • Up to $2,200 quarterly performance bonuses. (This potential bonus gives you the ability to earn up to the equivalent of $20.23 per hour.)

What are the requirements?:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent. A working knowledge within Windows operating systems or equivalent.
  • Wayfair wants to ensure your success, which is why our training is 100% mandatory. We cannot accommodate absences, days off or delays during these first 3 weeks.
