Job Description:
Walt Disney Animation Studios is now offering exciting opportunities for Artistic Directors (ATDs) to join our studio team in Vancouver, BC. This is a one-year contract position. Hybrid and remote access for Vancouver studios is specific to remote work in the British Columbia region.
Responsibility:
- Provide general production support to digital artists
- Tools and configuration scripts
- Act as a collaborator with the wider team of Technology and other digital experts
- Performs a variety of custom projects and software packages to support the production pipeline
- Take a closer look at the production process and visualize the big pipes as you understand the impact of their actions
- Contribution and positive representation of Walt Disney Animation Studios in the wider animation and computer graphics community
- Identify problems and optimization opportunities in production data
- Provide process and training pipeline for large studio
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, digital arts, other related field or relevant work experience
- Know Linux or Unix
- Python or C/C++
- The art of solving difficult problems
- Good communication
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment
Bonus Skills:
- Experience in CG animation, visual effects or video game production environment preferred
- Knowledge of various commercial graphics tools such as Maya, Nuke, Houdini or GI providers such as VRay or Arnold
