Job Description:

The Core Infrastructure Engineering team's goal is to build a highly scalable full-stack infrastructure for owned, licensed, and franchised Starbucks stores. This role will focus on building infrastructure automation leveraging a declarative approach to GitOps across multiple infrastructure domains. Help us extend and leverage our capabilities in network functions, compute, virtualization, and containers. Previous experience with full stack automation, CI/CD, Git, Python, Golang and Kubernetes is essential. Familiarity with cloud-native design patterns, edge computing solutions, and API development is highly desirable.

Essential job responsibilities and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Technical design and construction

Develop software solutions for business problems. Leverage established design patterns and coding standards. Create secure, durable, scalable, cost-effective and self-healing solutions. Participate in the solution design process: gathering requirements and refining the backlog, approaching modules and help systems, assisting in project initiation, contributing to design and functional development. Provides transparency into focus and progress. Automate test coverage based on platform capabilities and requirements. Establishes and maintains ongoing build and integration testing on applicable platforms and assists with manual system and integration testing efforts. It works in both waterfall and agile software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes and methodologies.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including infrastructure, security, architecture, QA, and key development teams, to drive projects and solutions to ensure compliant, secure, and compliant solutions. Dive into supplier relationships to understand and influence product offerings and supplier roadmaps, improve support engagement, and gain insight into technology trends.
  • Production support for application components
  • Fulfill on-call support responsibilities for application components. It helps with the creation and reporting of operational key performance indicators (KPIs) on things like application performance.
  • Creates and maintains documentation that supports operational, implementation, and training processes. basic qualifications
  • 2-3 years of professional industry experience with software development
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Knowledge and experience in the design and development of complex software systems.
  • Practical understanding of application architecture, infrastructure, security concepts and technical implementation. Thorough understanding of the platform and relevant applications, including established APIs, system activity components, process flows, underlying data models, business logic, and application configuration.
  • 1-2 years of experience developing Go and/or Python. Ability to successfully work remotely balancing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
