Aviation Maintenance Engineer (AMT) is a critical TechOps role at Delta. In this role, you will maintain the operations and security of Delta's ports, ensuring customers have an exceptional travel experience. AMT maintains aircraft, aircraft engines, aircraft components, and avionics systems in accordance with Delta and FAA specifications; perform inspections during the assembly of parts and after repair or installation of components; documentation process, including resource breakdown, origin, and status; and practices safety precautions in all work processes and procedures. 
 
 Summary of tasks (not all tasks completed): 
 
Perform all work in accordance with laws, regulations, standards, safety regulations and procedures to ensure their safety and the safety of others. Inspects aircraft or aircraft including landing gear, hydraulic systems, tires and engines for damage, defects, corrosion or other wear to ensure airworthiness. 
Recommends replacement, repair or replacement of aircraft equipment based on inspection. Reports problems, malfunctions, unusual wear or damage to appropriate personnel as required. 
Installs, removes, or modifies aircraft structures, systems, or components, following drawings, schematics, drawings, engineering orders, and technical publications. Repair worn, defective or damaged parts or components (for example, damaged seals, lines and connections, cables and plugs), using hand tools, gauges and test equipment. 
Review completed work to confirm that maintenance is in accordance with standards and procedures and that the aircraft is ready for operation. Interprets records or records (text or oral) to understand the history and nature of the problem, to solve the problem, and to determine the next steps required (eg, repair, defer, replace). 
Examines, reads and interprets technical manuals and instructions for performing inspections, installations, repairs or other service activities. Reviewing maintenance records to determine if work and repairs, maintenance and repairs have been reviewed during a given period of time. 
Maintains maintenance records, records all aircraft maintenance and repair work. Serve as a technical expert or consultant by providing advice and guidance to others.
